Get Your Roost Music Early

The Roost score available only onlineWhile we await the October 3rd DVD release of Ti West’s highly acclaimed horror film, The Roost (remember, don’t believe all the hype), you can now get a taste of what you’re in for by heading over to iTunes this week.

That is where the score for The Roost has made its home (roosted? no, bad pun) according to Music From the Movies, who is reporting that this is the tenth online-only score to have been released by MovieScore Media. It’s an experiment, as it were, and one that will hopefully pay off for the company and show that selling strictly online definitely has its advantages.

The score for The Roost was composed by newcomer Jeff Grace, who worked as Howard Shore’s assistant during his work on the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and has been almost as highly praised as the movie itself by those who have seen it. Grace will next work on the score for Larry Fessenden’s Ron Perlman vehicle, The Last Winter.
