‘Sucker For Love: Date To Die For’: DreadXP Drops New Game Release Date Trailer [Video]

During the Indie Horror Showcase in October of 2023, Sucker For Love: Date To Die For was announced to have a release date of February 14th. But, after a short delay in late January, we finally have a new release date for Sucker For Love: Date to Die For!
Indie horror publisher DreadXP and developer Aka Baka announced yesterday that Sucker For Love: Date To Die For would be released on Steam on April 23rd, 2024. Sucker For Love fans rejoice!
Sucker For Love: Date To Die follows Stardust as she investigates the mysterious disappearances plaguing her hometown of Sacramen-Cho. While ending up trapped, you find the strange cultist’s book with only one page visible, a passage describing how to summon The Black Goat of the Woods Rhok’zan.
While Rhok’zan is also the god of all things lust. This has caused the local cultists to lose their minds, but with our main character, Stardust, being Asexual, she can easily subdue her feelings of lust for Rhok’zan with the simple use of a squirt bottle. But since this is a game all about getting those smooches, you can also fall head over heels for her if you choose.
The demo that is out right now has Stardust collecting items for a couple of rituals, and it’s clear that Sucker For Love: Date To Die still holds its cutesy eldrich horror vibe. Adventuring around the mansion feels creepy, like you aren’t sure if a cultist will come out from behind a door and kill you. Thankfully, developer Aka Baka has included some options to avoid this completely by having a jumpscare warning pop up, which will help some of the more squeamish players in their journey for folk horror love.
Promising an all-new datable demon god, along with new ways to interact with the environment in a whole 360-degree adventure, it looks like the sequel is ready to knock it out of the park. Sucker For Love: Date To Die
