Exclusive Track Premiere: “Vanishing Point” Taken from UP AND VANISHED–Podcast Soundtrack by MAKEUP AND VANITY SET

Grammy-nominated record label Lakeshore Records, the soundtrack partner to Tenderfoot TV, the podcasting powerhouse that’s garnered nearly half a billion downloads, continue to release new soundtracks digitally for their hit podcasts.  Recently released digitally are To Live and Die in LA (2/7), Monster: The Zodiac Killer (2/14) and Atlanta Monster (2/21). Forthcoming are Up and Vanished (3/6), Monster: DC Sniper (3/13) , and Culpable (late March).  Lakeshore kicked off its partnership with Tenderfoot TV, their entry into podcast soundtracks, last November with the release of Radio Rental.

Tenderfoot TV enlisted electronic musician Matthew Pusti, who goes by Makeup and Vanity Set (MAVS), to score all of the soundtracks for Tenderfoot’s No. 1 podcasts. Today, Dread Central is thrilled to exclusively premiere a track from the Up and Vanished podcast. Check out “Vanishing Point” below.

About Up and Vanished:
Up and Vanished is a true-crime podcast that launched in 2016 investigating the decade-old cold case of missing school teacher and beauty queen Tara Grinstead in the small town of Oscilla, Georgia.  Hosted by Payne Lindsey, the podcast was instrumental in cracking Tara’s case, leading to two arrests in early 2017.  The podcast has surpassed 340 million downloads, and is now a docu-series produced by Propgate for Oxygen with new episodes premiering Saturday nights at 7/6c.

Says Pusti: “I first met Payne Lindsey in Crestone, Colorado. I flew out there and showed up in a dusty town at the foot of a giant mountain and I spent a week recording anything and everything there. Just the dust and the grit of the place. All of that is in the music from Up and Vanished. For me it was the high-water mark as a composer, because the place where the story takes place is engrained in the music is every possible way. When I hear those pieces now, I can see the people of Crestone and the way they sort of disappear into the landscape.”
