Tonight Episode 18 of The Vampire Diaries, "Under Control", airs on The CW, and with a total run of just 22 episodes, that means we're getting close to the end of the series' first season. No details are available about the finale just yet, but we do have some stills from and a very brief synopsis of Ep. 21.

This week's episode of The Vampire Diaries is entitled "Under Control", and The CW is previewing two clips from the show, one with Damon and Stefan discussing the latest turn of events and the other with Alaric and Elena talking about keeping secrets.

Smart Pop Books, an imprint that specializes in pop culture essay collections, will soon be publishing an anthology for the popular book and TV series The Vampire Diaries, and the cover art has been revealed along with a few of the essay authors.

The CW has just released a new promo clip for its popular series The Vampire Diaries focusing on its "smoldering cast", and it is hot, hot, hot!

We've always thought it was clever how both The Vampire Diaries and its sister (or maybe that should be brother) show on The CW, Supernatural, borrow their episode titles from well-known songs and movies, and this week is no exception although some purists in the crowd might be a little put off by TVD's Ep. 17: "Let the Right One In". Trust us, though; Williamson & crew haven't let us down yet, and we doubt they will here either.

During the same interview in which he gave an update on Scream 4, Kevin Williamson dished out a little info on what fans of his hit TV series The Vampire Diaries have to look forward to in the coming years (yes, years)!

If there's anybody out in the indie world that sends us updates on their projects more often than the multi-talented Phil Nichols, I don't know who it is. Today he sent over a new batch of stills from Vampire Diaries Renfield, but best of all, they include the first shot of one of the creatures Nichols' Facades FX is doing for the film.

We're just a little over two weeks away from the return of The Vampire Diaries from its winter hiatus on March 25th, and to help fill the time between now and then, The CW has provided a slew of stills from the upcoming Episode 15, entitled "A Few Good Men".
