After the death of her boyfriend, a vulnerable mother-to-be goes to live with her deceased partner’s mother and stepbrother. But her source of comfort soon turns to terror as her benefactors begin to appear increasingly obsessed with her every move. Plagued by mysterious hallucinations, she finds her suspicions raging with questions about their intentions for her unborn child.

Marcantonio makes his feature directorial debut from a script he wrote with Jason McColgan. Tamara Lawrance stars along with Jack Lowden, and Fiona Shaw.
The film sports a 70% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes. The Critics Consensus reads: Kindred’s naturalistic approach may frustrate viewers seeking jump scares, but this psychologically driven horror story casts its own grim spell.
The movie is currently available on VOD from IFC Midnight.
