Netflix Orders Supernatural Teen Drama from UK-Based New Pictures

Netflix is at it again… the upstart streaming service has ordered an untitled eight-episode series created and written by Hania Elkington (The North London Book of the Dead) and Simon Duric (“The Crown,” “Black Mirror”) and produced by UK-based New Pictures, led by Charlie Pattinson, Elaine Pyke, and Willow Grylls (the three previously worked together on “The Missing,” “Rellik,” and others).
Details are scarce, but according to THR, the supernatural drama will be “an emotional love story thriller about two teenage runaways.”
Farren Blackburn (“Iron Fist,” “Luther,” “Doctor Who”) serves as executive producer alongside Pattinson, Pyke, and Grylls and directs six episodes in the series. The series will be produced in the UK and Norway.
