BBC Gets Monsters Being Human

Those blokes in the UK seem to always be one step ahead of us when it comes to good TV. How many shows on our major networks right now are remakes of British series? Hopefully we’ll be picking up on this new horror trend hitting the UK shortly, too.

UK Zombie Show Dead Set Starts Tomorrow!

We’ve told you guys about the upcoming UK show “Dead Set”, which will be premiering on E4 tomorrow, but it took our intrepid reporter Nomad to point out the quite extensive sub-site setup for the show on over at E4’s site.

Dead Set DVD Details!

Though we only just heard about the UK zombie series “Dead Set” very recently, it seems it’s been building across the pond for quite a while. Premiering on E4 this month, we just got word that the DVD set is already ready to hit UK shelves on November 3rd!

Shankland's Day Turns to Children, First Trailer

A while back we gave you guys the first word on The Day, Tom Shankland’s follow-up to Waz (released here by Dimension Extreme as The Killing Gene). Well, in the time since that announcement was made a lot has happened with the new film, so let's catch up, shall we?

Day & Date for Mum & Dad

The whole "day-and-date" concept has always sounded a bit strange to me, to be honest. Releasing a film in theaters, on DVD, and on VOD the same day doesn’t really make a lot of sense, does it? Where’s the motivation to get butts in seats if they can just head to Best Buy and enjoy the film in the privacy of their homes? Though I guess if it’ll work anywhere, it’ll work in horror.

Trailer for Jake West's Doghouse!

An early trailer for Jake West’s latest horror outing, Doghouse, showed up online recently, and it’s about time you guys dug upon it, don’t you think? I do, too.

Saw V Quad

We’d be remiss to forget our horror-loving brothers across the pond, who I’m sure are just as eagerly looking forward to seeing more of Jigsaw’s antics in Saw V as we are. The sequel opens on October 24th in UK cinemas, and to give Dread some international flavor, I thought we’d share the UK quad poster with you guys today.

Trailer for UK Zombie Series Dead Set

Those bunker-dwelling agoraphobes over at Quiet Earth just dropped us a line with a heads-up on something very cool those of you living in the UK better be on the lookout for. It’s called “Dead Set” and tells of a zombie apocalypse going down at the same time as the hit show “Big Brother” is being filmed. Wacky hijinks ensue.

UK Shocker Mum & Dad Lands Distro

This is what happens, guys, when you try and get romantic with your lady. You take her out to a nice, remote spot with plans to propose and for your troubles you get vandalized by thugs who torture your girl and make your life a living hell.

New ZomCom The Tormented Casts Up

How many times, when you were being picked on as a kid, did you wish you could come back from the dead and get revenge on all those who wronged you? The dying thing is where I always came up short, but Alex Pettfyer won’t have that problem when he stars in Jon Wright’s The Tormented.

New UK Bloodsucker Flick Blood and Roses

We were just directed to a new film being made right now in the UK by first-time director Simon Aitken called Blood and Roses. It’s significant to us because one of our favorite journalists/actresses is in it: Axelle Carolyn. She’s been taking bit parts in more and more movies as of late, and it’s always great to see her on screen.

Ripper Trilogy in the Works

Over in the UK Channel 4 is prepping three of the four books in David Peace’s “Red Riding Quartet” for films, all adapted by Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas penner Tony Grisoni, according to Variety. Julian Jarrold, James Marsh and Anand Tucker will direct.
