Following up yesterday's casting news for the hit HBO series "True Blood", we have one more name to add to the ever-growing list of new stars and potential fangbangers (how we love that term)!
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominees for its 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards this morning, and while the horror genre was mostly absent from the theatrical categories, it was pretty well represented on the small screen.
And the True Blood casting news keeps on rolling in. Fans of The Tudors and 24 have a lot to be excited about as James Frain (aka Thomas Cromwell and Paul Raines, respectively) has just signed on as recurring character Franklin Mott.
Kristen Bauer (Galaxis) has been tapped to join the ranks of HBO's True Blood, full-time when the series returns for its third season later this year. But, what's going on with Pam? Read on for some juicy tidbits...
If the flurry of casting news over the past couple of days is any indication, Season Three of HBO's popular series "True Blood" is going to be taking viewers in some new and different directions. Joining the regulars as recurring characters are Theo Alexander as Talbot, an "intensely beautiful" vampire, and Grant Bowler (pictured) as Coot, a menacing biker werewolf.

Ever since I first read Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, I swore one of these days I'd make it to her annual Vampire Lestat Vampire Club Halloween Ball. Unfortunately, this isn't my year, but if you live anywhere near New Orleans, you might want to make it yours as the group is presenting a "Tru Blood & Gold Ball" for 2009.

HBO, in collaboration with Udi Behr, Chief Designer for Love Peace and Hope, has created a new line of jewelry around the network’s hit series "True Blood". Inspired by the dark and sexy nature of the vampires in the television series, the collection includes bracelets, leather cuffs, necklaces, rings, and earrings in an edgy fusion of sterling silver, polished steel, and crimson rubies – many of which feature a patented fang-like clasp.
Dread Central (in this case Heather Wixson, myself, and a moonlighting Brian Smith) hit the red carpet this past Saturday for the taping of the fourth annual Spike Scream Awards, held at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, and brought back a slew of photos and video interviews from the press line, as well as from the event itself and subsequent after-party (which was held at the Forever Hollywood Cemetery in, well, Hollywood).
