The Tribeca Film Festival is as much a staple of New York City as the buildings lining its streets or the cab drivers flipping you off. We are inundated with countless new projects from across the planet, all packed into a few days. This year's lineup didn't leave much room for our lovely horror, but there were some moments to be had!
Established playwright Conor McPherson can add another feather to his cap now that Magnolia has acquired his debut directorial project, The Eclipse (not to be confused with Eclipse, the 2nd Twilight sequel), at Tribeca 2009. The deal is also notable as the first major sale at the fest for the past several years.
Here at Dread Central we are big fans of both director Ti West and actor AJ Bowen. Well, actually in Bowen's case we're mainly fascinated with his beard, but anyway, to have them both working on one flick? That's what we call good stuff! We'd go to Tribeca for this film alone!
More goods out of the Tribeca Film Festival 2009. On the hot plate? Stills and a trailer for this year's slasher entry, Paintball.
With Tribeca in full swing, lots of horror related goods from this year's crop of films are popping up left and right. Up next -- several stills and the trailer for the Danish psychological thriller Fear Me Not.
As a huge Poe fan, I'm really looking forward to seeing the latest film based upon one of his most frightening stories, Tell-Tale. You excited too? You may just be after checking out the latest clip and still from the film!
With the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival right around the corner, it was only a matter of time before some goodies started slipping out to the press from their fresh crop of horror offerings!
The first still from Lena Heady's latest foray into horror, Tell-Tale, hit online today courtesy of the official Tribeca website, and it doesn't exactly tell a whole hell of a lot.
The Tribeca Film Festival, which runs April 22 to May 3, 2009, has announced this year's lineup, and it's looking pretty sweet for horror fans!
