Another Tribeca has come and gone, and with it another great selection of horror movies (hit the “Tribeca 2008” link to read about ‘em). I expected at least one or two would take home some awards, but to learn that a horror movie got Tribeca’s feature prize in the festival? That’s just awesome.

On Thursday, April 24th, hordes of people (both living and undead) gathered outdoors for a special screening of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” courtesy of the Tribeca Film Fest Drive-In series.

From April 23rd to May 4th the Tribeca Film Festival once again takes hold of New York City, presenting films from across the globe in a wide range of flavors to suit every taste. Of course, you of the greatest of taste are on Dread Central, so you bark back, “Hey, Nomad!

"Strangers don't fare well in these parts." That's the kind of warning we Americans usually hear with a Southern twang attached, but this time it is oddly more ... British. Yeah, I wasn't sure what to make of that either.

Here I am, reporting on yet another vampire film that actually looks somewhat interesting. Either something is wrong with the world or too many drugs have skewed my perception. Or maybe Let the Right One In is genuinely worth keeping an eye on...
