Looks like old Jack Brooks is gonna be waiting a little while for his next adventure as the creative team behind that flick are busy readying their new one, The Shrine.

Though there’s not a lot of meat to it yet, the ghouls over at STYD got their hands on the log line for Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer 2, which is currently in the scripting stages with director Jon Knautz and star Trevor Matthews penning the screenplay.

To be honest, Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer was a surprise. Mixing horror with comedy and Robert Englund doesn't always pay off, but for me the only real flaw Brooks had was in the pacing. So, will we get to see director Jon Knautz tighten things up with a sequel? Why, yes!
