We can all be thankful that Fred Dekker’s 1986 classic Night of the Creeps is on its way to DVD this fall, but horror fans can’t say the same for the planned DVD artwork – which you can have some say in choosing! The only problem is finding one that isn’t a goddamn eyesore!

For a time I thought I had a better chance of seeing God than seeing a legitimate release of Fred Dekker’s Night of the Creeps on DVD. Now that the cult classic is getting ready to thrill horror fans with its digital debut this fall, we have our first look at some of the extra material that will be gracing the upcoming release.

We don’t make a big deal out of it, mainly because we still don’t have an index listing of all the films, but our database is a wealth of information for most of the movies we report on here on Dread. Case in point: My Bloody Valentine 3D, which opens tomorrow.

Our intrepid LA crew were on-hand for the red carpet premiere of My Bloody Valentine 3D and even managed to get some people to talk about the film before being not-so-kindly escorted off the premises. Look, it’s not our fault that “society” says we “have to” wear pants all the time, is it?

I love the horror industry. When a good looking splatter fest is on the horizon, the excitement builds and everyone from the casual fan to the creators of the film seem to celebrate together. When it is all said and done, there are plenty of stories to be told. This one is a quickie, but its hysterical none the less. This week My Bloody Valentine 3D had some sneak preview screenings across the country for blood thirsty creeps. At these screenings, you'll often be approached by PR Reps for the film company asking what you thought of the movie.

Can I get a HELL YES? Despite what some may think about the need for a remake of My Bloody Valentine, especially one in 3D, it just added one helluva cool name to the cast list that has moved it up significantly on my “must see” list.
