A while back we mentioned that a big name horror director would be lending his talents to the upcoming flick Djinn. Finally said director has been announced, and it's gonna be great seeing his work back up on the big screen! From the Press Release

Tobe Hooper's under-appreciated slasher opus The Funhouse is a huge favorite here around the Dread Central offices. The flick had it all -- gypsies, sex, good kills, a great location, and most importantly a badass looking monster who wore a Frankenstein's Monster mask until his, um ... unveiling. From our point of view this remake is a no-brainer and it seems as if director Eli Roth feels the same way!

As any horror fan worth their salt knows, back in 1974, a little film was released (or unleashed) upon the public with the off-putting yet intriguing title, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.

Here’s a project I never expected to hear about again: Toolbox Murders 2, the sequel to Tobe Hooper’s 2003 remake of the 1978 original. Fangoria got to chatting with long-time second unit director and FX vet Dean Jones recently, who revealed that he’ll be helming Toolbox 2, possibly as early as May.
