Eli Roth Hoping to Enter The Funhouse
Tobe Hooper's under-appreciated slasher opus The Funhouse is a huge favorite here around the Dread Central offices. The flick had it all -- gypsies, sex, good kills, a great location, and most importantly a badass looking monster who wore a Frankenstein's Monster mask until his, um ... unveiling. From our point of view this remake is a no-brainer and it seems as if director Eli Roth feels the same way!

Dark Sky Makes Leatherface Blu!
About two years ago we reviewed ultimate Texas Chainsaw Massacre DVD from Dark Sky, and it was good. Everything from the special features all the way down to the transfer kicked some major leathery ass. It was good headcheese for all. But now that we've entered into the Blu-ray era, will Leatherface and the family get their due?

Henkel Preps a New TCM?
It’s been a while since anyone’s been talking about Texas Chainsaw Massacre, since the last thing that came our way tended to underwhelm and no plans for anything new have been in place. Then Fangoria talked to Kim Henkel, writer of the Tobe Hooper original, who gave them the word that he’s working on a new Leatherface adventure.

Here’s a project I never expected to hear about again: Toolbox Murders 2, the sequel to Tobe Hooper’s 2003 remake of the 1978 original. Fangoria got to chatting with long-time second unit director and FX vet Dean Jones recently, who revealed that he’ll be helming Toolbox 2, possibly as early as May.
