Tim Seeley
The road to bring Hack/Slash to the big screen has been an arduous one to traverse. It's been several years now, and finally it sounds as if there's some solid movement. Movement filled with lens flares and the color orange.
Not so sure you're on board with the new Evil Dead film heading our way? Then how about sticking with comics based on the series? A new chapter of Army of Darkness is on its way this February 22nd from Dynamite Entertainment, and we have all the details right here!
During Halo-8's San Diego Comic-Con panel, the actress who will be playing Cassie Hack in their Hack/Slash illustrated film was introduced, and we couldn't be more pleased to inform you that it is genre favorite Brea Grant.
You want badass? You've got badass! Big news coming out of Comic-Con today that's actually related to a comic! Who would have thought of such a thing?!?!
As per the ArieScope website ...
When we posted our
schedule for Day 3 of San Diego Comic-Con, one item caught our eye that might, however, have slipped by yours so we thought we'd do a separate story bringing it to your attention: During the Halo-8 panel on that day, the actress playing Cassie Hack in the Hack/Slash illustrated film will be introduced!
Tired of waiting for the feature film version of Tim Seeley's Hack/Slash? If so, then February 9, 2011, can't get here soon enough as that's the date Hack/Slash returns in all-new ongoing comic series by the creative team behind the hit Hack/Slash: My First Maniac mini.
While sadly there's still no real news concerning the feature film version of Tim Seeley's Hack/Slash, fans can look forward another adaptation that's on its way!
From the Press Release
As we reported previously, Halo-8's full feature length version of Matt Pizzolo's "illustrated film" Godkiller: Walk Among Us will premiere at Chicago's C2E2 on April 16 following the company's panel at the show, and now comes word on who exactly will be participating in said panel.
If you live in or around the Los Angeles area, you're one of the lucky few who have an opportunity to attend a free public screening of Godkiller: Walk Among Us, Episode 1, the first installment of the dark animated series directed by award-winning filmmaker Matt Pizzolo.
The name Tim Seeley is one that always perks up the ears of horror fans. His artwork is among the best out there, and we can't get enough of his projects like Hack/Slash and Loaded Bible. So we are very pleased to present a limited edition poster from Seeley of illustrated film Godkiller's lovable organ-stealing duo Halfpipe (Danielle Harris) and Angelfuck (Tiffany Shepis).
Halo-8 Entertainment has secured the rights for award-winning director Matt Pizzolo and Emmy-winning producer Brian Giberson to create an "illustrated film" adaptation of Loaded Bible: Jesus vs. Vampires, a post-nuke horror comic book published by Image Comics and created by Tim Seeley. A 2010 theatrical release is planned for the film.
Do you happen to live in Arizona and think it's just not fair that most of the cool horror shit happens on one coast or another or in the Midwest, leaving you and your fellow desert-dwelling fans high and dry? Well, bitch no more, my friends -- Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith are heading your way!
When it was initially announced that Herbert West would be finding his way into the Hack/Slash come the series' 15th issue, I thought it brilliant. Recently
Newsarama sat down with Brian Yuzna, director of the last two films and the man who effectively owns the rights to the West character, and Hack/Slash creator Tim Seeley to discuss why this crossover just make so much sense.
