Universal Helps Fund Park's Thirst

Now this is the kind of news I like to end the week with! Variety reports this morning that Universal and Focus Features have jumped on board Old Boy director Chan-Wook Park’s Thirst, his vampire film that’s currently in production, putting in money and adding themselves as co-producers on the film.

Behind Park Chan-wook's Thirst

A few days back some poster art for Chan-wook Park's first horror film, Thirst, showed up all over the place thanks to someone snapping a pic of it at Cannes, but I've been waiting for even a slightly better looking image of the damn thing. To date, I've had no luck so I guess we'll just have to use the one that's everywhere for now.

Thirst, Bones & Gothic Updates!

Fangoria Radio got to chatting with Masters of Horror creator Mick Garris the other night, who revealed, unsurprisingly, that he is off to do Stephen King’s Bag of Bones as his next film according to Fango. The story is about an author who retreats to his lake house in order to try writing again after the loss of his wife.

Chan-Wook's Vampire Flick Finds Female

Looks like Oldboy and Lady Vengeance director Park Chan-Wook’s search for a leading lady for his upcoming vampire film, now being called Thirst has finally come to an end…

Park Chan-Wook Needs Women!

The good news is that the first vampire film from Park Chan-Wook (pictured, Old Boy, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance) is ready to go; the script is in place, financing is ready and waiting, and he’s got his leading man, The Host star Kang-ho Song. The bad news is he can’t find a woman willing to take the role of the film’s love interest, Tae-ju.

Park's Vampire Tale Goes to France

Over the weekend The Hollywood Reporter had some good news and more plot details for Chan-Wook Park’s upcoming vampire movie, Bakjwi, which of course came from the madness of AFM. That explains why we missed it till now...

Chan-Wook Park's Vampiric Update!

Remember Evil Live, the vampire film Chan-wook Park said he’d be directing after I’m a Cyborg but That’s Okay? It’s been a while since we’ve had an update, so luckily the boys at Aullidos got a chance to pick the director’s brain during the Sitges festival.

Host Star in Park's Vampire Film!

We’re still waiting for Park Chan-wook (Oldboy, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance) to sit down with someone, anyone, and dish all the details about his upcoming horror movie, which as been called both Bat and Evil Live (the second of which is more common and I like better). Until such an interview happens all we can tell you is that it’s a vampire movie, sort of, and the first bit of casting has been done for it.
