Playing at this year's Fantastic Fest in September you'll find a recut version of The Butcher Brothers' The Violent Kind. We don't know exactly what's been recut, but judging by this image, the red stuff is still VERY MUCH there!
The final Friday of Fantasia 2010 brought us one of the highlights of this year’s festival: director Christopher (Creep) Smith’s necromancer plague drama Black Death. Playing as the perfect accompaniment to Ken Russell’s The Devils, Black Death is a very subdued and naturalistic take on pestilence and witchcraft.

The Butcher Brothers have a bit of a spotty track record with genre fans. From pleasing the majority of us with The Hamiltons to savaging some good memories of ours with their insipid April Fool's Day remake, you just have to take their films with a grain of salt.
