The CW has released its full schedule for the November sweeps, and of interest to us were brief synopses of the November 14th and 15th episodes of "Supernatural" and "The Vampire Diaries."

After giving "Supernatural" fans an extra episode last season, The CW has decided fans of "The Vampire Diaries" deserve the same reward, and both shows will expand to 23 eps during their 2012-13 runs.

The Vampire Diaries is picking up another actor who will soon be making life hell for the fanged ones on the CW drama. At least, I assume so. The Hunger Games and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 are going head-to-head for Teen Choice 2012 Awards, as are their respective stars, but the real battle is taking place in the TV Fantasy/Sci-Fi category, where "The Vampire Diaries" leads the pack with six nominations.

Today is a VERY good day! The CW has given early pickups to the network’s top-rated show, "The Vampire Diaries", as well as fan (and Dread Central) favorite "Supernatural" with both series set to return for the 2012-2013 season.
