Exclusive Behind-the-Scenes Clip: The Uninvited

If you ask those who have seen Paramount's The Uninvited whether or not it is good, they will probably hit you with a really confused glance and then shrug their shoulders. It seems nobody really knows for sure. Come April 28th the DVD and Blu-ray will hit stores, so I guess we can figure it out for ourselves soon enough.

Plot Synopsis:

Based on a 2003 Korean horror film Janghwa Hongryeon (A Tale of Two Sisters) which is based on a classic Korean folk tale infused with '70s British horror. The DreamWorks version centers on modern-day teenage sisters Anna and Alex Rydell who return home from a mental hospital only to find their recovery unraveling because of a cruel stepmother, clueless or seemingly ignorant father and a lingering, scary ghost. With their mental states deteriorating can they stay alive in a haunted house where the only thing they have is each other?

    In a Variety story this morning about a new comedy script being optioned called Underage, it was officially announced that the upcoming remake of the Korean smash A Tale of Two Sisters is now being called The Uninvited.

    Sisters, Earth Remakes Name Composers

    It’s being reported this morning via Upcoming Film Scores that a slew of new sci-fi/horror movies are finally settling on composers, and since this is the first time I’ve heard mention of the upcoming Tale of Two Sisters remake (pictured) in quite a while, it’s worth a mention as it’s a very good sign that the film is nearly done. How good it will be still remains to be seen.

    Kebbel Signs for Sisters

    More casting news for the Tale of Two Sisters remake has landed in the trades today, and it’s hot. Namely, said casting is Arielle Kebbel (The Grudge 2), who has signed on as one of the two sisters mentioned in the film's title. And that, friends, is hot. Bit of a change from the original since the girls seemed much younger in that, but then Koreans never do show their age very accurately, do they?
