The Twilight Zone
After a very quiet post-Labor Day weekend for new movies, where Resident Evil: Afterlife (review) was the only major film released widely (and owned the box office), this week's new horror DVD titles aren't aplenty either.
As far as we are concerned, Image Entertainment's release of "The Twilight Zone" Season 1 (Blu-ray review here) could very well be the release of the year. In fact, we like it so much we've decided to give away one copy to a lucky fan out there!
As if you needed any other encouragement to pick up a copy of "The Twilight Zone" Season One on Blu-ray on Tuesday, September 14th, we've got three clips from the upcoming box set from Image Entertainment.

Words cannot express how happy we are to report this tasty nugget of news. The original Rod Serling classic television show "The Twilight Zone" is readying itself for its Blu-ray debut on September 14th courtesy of Image Entertainment -- our new favorite distributor!
Every anthology series since has tried to mimic the formula established by The Twilight Zone with mixed success. But there's no disputing the awesomeness of Bif Bang Pow!'s line of Twilight Zone bobble heads and action figures, and fans of the series have not just one or two new items to add to their shopping lists but a whopping four bobbles and two pairs of 8-inch figures, all coming between March and August of this year!
The little dolls that we were actually allowed to play with in our youth without getting hit by our dads have been returning to toy store shelves. RIGHT NOW you can walk into most comic shops and buy retro, MEGO styled figures from Night of the Living Dead, Planet of the Apes, and Star Trek. We knew DC comics were soon to follow (via Mattel), but we didn't know EMCE was joining forces with Bif Bang Pow to get in on their awesome properties.
Rumblings of some really good news have begun which may end in the goodness that will be seeing the original Rod Serling driven television hit "The Twilight Zone" hitting high definition!
We are about to re-enter another dimension. A dimension of familiar sights, sounds, and minds. There's a sign post up ahead. Next stop -- the remake zone!
