Excited for Phil Nobile's feature length documentary "Halloween: The Inside Story"? With its small screen debut rapidly approaching, there's no reason not to be. I mean, can you really have too much of John Carpenter's Halloween around this time of year?
Updated: New date for the premiere: Monday October 25th at 9 pm ET. It's almost the wonderful time of the year again, and what would it be without a little news concerning The Shape? With Never Sleep Again under the old belt, I can tell you documentary filmmaking is anything but easy, but when it's done right? The rewards are certainly there to reap.
Since our first mention of "Halloween: The Inside Story", which will be hitting A&E's Biography Channel this October, fans have been pretty excited to finally get a concise overview of the original film that started it all. To keep momentum going for Phil Nobile's feature length documentary, we have a second batch of stills that we are sure will garner your approval.
Coming this October fans of Halloween will be in for a special treat as A&E's Biography Channel airs a two-hour look back at the very first night he came home. Some behind-the-scenes images from director Phil Nobile's "Halloween: The Inside Story" have hit the Net, and things are looking pretty good!
Despite its low budget, a mostly no-name cast, and age, many fans out there still find John Carpenter's original masterpiece Halloween to be one of the best film's our genre has ever seen; and we completely agree. Filmmakers Josh Hasty and Kenny Caperton certainly feel the same way as they've made a prequel of sorts to that film and not Zombie's. Ever wonder what led up to Judith Myer's staying home that fateful evening? Get ready to experience one fan's rendition of that sliver of backstory.
It was last May when we first learned about a short film called "Judith" that was being written by Kenny Caperton, creator of The Myers House NC, a life-size replica of the infamous Michael Myers house from John Carpenter's Halloween. At that time "Judith"'s director, Josh Hasty, informed us that they hoped to begin filming in September at The Myers House. Apparently sometimes things do go according to plan as we heard from Caperton today, who informed us shooting would be under way in a couple of weeks.
Here at Dread Central we're always on the lookout for interesting sounding indie projects, so we were intrigued by an email we received today from Josh Hasty, a filmmaker from Cincinnati, Ohio, who is currently wrapping up production on his first feature film titled A Mannequin in Static.
