The Host Converted to 3D

Why? Just why? That's a question we find ourselves asking a lot lately. And you can officially add the following statement to your "Wow, really?" list - Bong Joon-ho's acclaimed creature feature/family drama The Host has been converted to 3D.

The Host 2 Coming at You in 3D

Some interesting news coming in for the sequel to Bong Joon-Ho's critically acclaimed Korean monster mash! Seems as if the creature will be leaping off the screen when the second installment of this budding franchise hits theatres.

The Host 2 Becomes a Video Game

The Host 2, it seems, has been lingering in pre-production for an eternity. And while today’s story yields another one of those, “yep, it’s coming … eventually” type of updates, there’s also some cool news about an interactive adaptation of the perpetually upcoming sequel.

First Look at The Host 2!

Like lots of you, I consider The Host to be one of my favorite films from the past ten years. I still remember seeing it in theaters, unsure of what to expect, and being drawn into an amazing story with some of the best characters in recent memory (and a really cool creature, too). I'm not convinced that a sequel is necessary, but I'm the guy that would've balked at the Piranha II director making a sequel to Ridley Scott's Alien. So who knows?

Good News for The Host 2!

One of the best genre films in recent memory, The Host, will be the basis for both an American remake (surprise, surprise!) and a sequel. And while I couldn't care less about what Hollywood thinks it can do to make a better film than Joon-ho Bong's original, the prospect of a sequel, however unnecessary, has my full attention.

    Plot Synopsis:

Set a few years prior to the events of The Host, the setting for this monster movie invovles the Cheonggye Stream, which runs through downtown Seoul. For years it was covered in concrete before being converted back to a stream in 2005, so apparently the monster(s) will be residing in the underground parts of the stream.
