DVD Releases: May 12, 2009: S. Darko Holds a Grudge for Plague Town

With all the news that keeps pouring in today, I'm gonna keep this short and sweet. If you own a Blu-ray player, this is a very good week for you. But even if you don't, there are plenty of releases that should make your wallet feel the pinch.

Blu Carpenter for the UK

We can only hope someone Stateside will pick up on this idea sooner rather than later ... DVD Active learned today that Optimum Releasing is putting out Blu-Ray versions of John Carpenter’s The Fog, They Live and Escape From New York in the UK.

North Carolina Gets Fatale

I’m not sure what much there is to do in North Carolina, but I do know that residents in or near Durham are going to be in for a treat starting next month when The Carolina Theatre of Durham begins its Femme Fatale Film Series.
