While we all wait eagerly for the February 26, 2010 release date of Breck Eisner's remake of the Romero classic The Crazies to arrive, MTV got themselves some exclusive footage from the set!

Are you following The Crazies on Twitter yet? Well you should be because they've been talking quite a bit about the shoot, but today they let a picture do their talking for them!

If, like most of us here at Dread Central, you've been looking forward to The Crazies reboot, unfortunately we're all going to have to wait a little longer than original anticipated.

It's a quiet Midwest town like any other. Every inhabitant knows the business of everyone else, and most have known each other all their lives. Now something has come. The 2nd grade school teacher stops in mid-sentence and eyes up the flagpole, thinking it a good idea to impale his students on it.

Overture Films has released the very first image from Breck Eisner's remake of the George Romero classic The Crazies, and we have it for you hot and fresh out of the old loony bin!

So how much would you give to get yourself a spot in the remake of George A. Romero's classic film The Crazies? Better yet -- how much would you give to charity?

Nomad checked in from newfound horror hot spot Georgia with some interviews conducted on the set of The Crazies. Mind you, we can't talk about that film yet, but director Breck Eisner and stars Radha Mitchell and Danielle Panabaker did chime in on some other horror related subjects.

Twitter has revolutionized the way that everyone does things. Case in point -- our man Nomad is out on the set of the remake of The Crazies today, and then he'll be traveling to the set of Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 tomorrow. You can expect full set reports in the near future, but for now Nomad will be tweeting live from the sets!

Man, the Internet has sure changed things. Remember when we used to have to wait to see behind-the-scenes images from movies? I guess those days are over. If you're following The Crazies on Twitter, you can hear from some of the film's stars and even see pictures from the set as they are taken.

This weekend at the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors in Chicago, George A. Romero was one of the featured special guests. Not only did the esteemed Godfather of Zombie Films give genre fanatics a taste of his new film ...Of The Dead, but he also answered fan questions. One topic that came up was Romero’s involvement with the remake of The Crazies.

New casting news has just come in concerning Breck Eisner's remake of the George A. Romero classic The Crazies, which is slated to begin principal photography March 5 in Georgia.

Overture Films has joined up with Bloody-Disgusting to give one lucky horror fan a chance to be a part of the upcoming remake of George A. Romero’s The Crazies, which is scheduled to begin shooting in Georgia in the coming months. The winner will be chosen by random drawing and will be afforded a trip to the set on April 3rd as well as an opportunity to be an extra in the film!
