Next week brings the return of Riddick to game consoles, and to celebrate this momentous occasion, Atari Games has released a new trailer for The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena that boasts 60 slayings in 60 seconds! So good!

With the surprisingly positive response to the new Fast and Furious film that's right around the corner, Universal Pictures seems hot to get Vin Diesel back into another role that he made famous -- that of the badass known as Riddick.

For those of us out there who remember The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay on the original Xbox, we know what an absolutely badass game its remake, The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, will be on the Xbox 360, PC, and PS3. But why wait for its ship date of April 7th, 2009, when you can play it right now?

I will admit it’s not really horror, but I can’t help but get excited for the new Chronicles of Riddick game, Assault on Dark Athena. Today Atari dropped a new trailer for the game and defying all logic (since it’s really not horror), I’ve added it to our video playlist. So check it out, damnit!

The Chronicles of Riddick can't really be considered horror on any level, but we do love our friends at G4 so we’re going to help ‘em out, damnit, and if it means compromising our ethics, so be it!
