This is shaping up to be one of the best weeks so far this year for DVD collectors. Along with new and well-received fare like The Burrowers (review) and Laid to Rest (review) and old favorites like Hellraiser (review) on Blu-ray and in a limited edition box set, we've got some wild cards that could go either way.

Today we had the pleasure of speaking with director JT Petty about the release of his latest film The Burrowers on DVD April 21st, and he gave us the skinny on what direction his proposed remake of Faces of Death will be taking.

The buzz on the upcoming DVD release The Burrowers has been generally positive so it’s very cool that director J.T. Petty is giving horror fans a taste of what happened before his acclaimed full-length Western-themed creature feature with an 18-minute short film called Blood Red Earth (previously called simply "Red Earth").

The latest film from J.T. Petty, The Burrowers, is getting set to make its DVD debut from Lionsgate, and we got some details for ya!

We saw a low-res version of this not too long ago, but today the folks at IMP Awards got their hands on a very sexy and clean look at the poster for J.T. Petty’s upcoming period monster movie, The Burrowers.

I've often wondered how settlers of the American West would handle monsters, and please don't remind me of that Tremors sequel... That's why we are grateful J.T. Petty came along with his take on subterranean beasties, The Burrowers.

This October 10th-19th will see the return of Screamfest to LA’s Grauman’s Chinese 6 Theater, and we’ve been giving you bits and pieces on it since the festival first started compiling its schedule of horror films. Well, no more piecemeal; it's time for the entire feast!

J.T. Petty’s Old West monster movie, The Burrowers, premieres tonight at the Toronto International Film Festival, and damn I wish I could be there for it. I’ve been looking forward to this flick since the moment it was announced!
