Early Emmy Awards were handed out Saturday night, August 21st, in what's known as the Creative Arts ceremony, which precedes the main Emmy show taking place next Sunday, August 29th; and a genre fave was one of the lucky winners.

Three more fairly big names have been linked to Rupert Wyatt's next entry into the Planet of the Apes franchise titled Planet of the Apes: Rise of the Apes, and hopefully they'll help the already announced participants erase the bad taste left in our mouths from Tim Burton's fiasco.

Back in January of this year we posted a pretty hilarious early look at the concept art for the upcoming bobble head figure based on the Trinity Killer from Dexter, and now finally the real deal is available.

The Dexter panel at Paleyfest 2010 ended just a short while ago, and while not a lot was revealed about what the writers have in store for us during Season Five, Andrew did report back with a few choice tidbits, including the much debated time frame in which the new episodes will be set.

There's no denying that John Lithgow's portrayal of Arthur Mitchell, a.k.a. the Trinity Killer, was the best thing that happened to Showtime's Dexter since the series' first season. And now you can bring him into your own home ... if you dare!

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominees for its 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards this morning, and while the horror genre was mostly absent from the theatrical categories, it was pretty well represented on the small screen.

This Sunday, September 27th, marks the beginning of Season Four of the smash Showtime hit "Dexter", and if you happen to live on one coast or the other, you're in luck. You and your friends can catch the premiere before the premiere while sipping Dexter-themed cocktails!

On September 27th, everyone's favorite serial killer will be back on Showtime doing what he does best ... hunting down murdering bastards who have somehow slipped through the cracks of law enforcement, and to help fill the time between now and then, we have five clips from the first two episodes of Season Four.

In the course of updating our San Diego Comic-Con 09 photo gallery, which already includes hundreds of pictures (with more to come) of horror collectibles, costumed attendees, and celebrities both on panels or just walking the convention floor, we realized the newsy bits gathered during the presentation for Showtime's "Dexter" went out via Twitter but never made it to the site. Allow us to correct that oversight immediately.

As if there wasn't reason enough to look forward to the upcoming Season 4 of "Dexter" already, another new character is being added to the mix.

Following in the footsteps of Jimmy Smits' guest star turn in last season's "Dexter", the show's producers have tapped Emmy and Tony winner John Lithgow for all 12 episodes of Season 4. Now this is a casting coup I can get behind 100%!
