Fresh off finding US distribution for their first film Where the Dogs Divide Her, Hunger Cult Films is proud to announce that focus has now been turned toward their second feature, Wyke Wreake (meaning Valley of the Witches).

Another award-winning actress from The Help is on her way to the horror genre to deal with a whole new set of witches. Read on for all of the details.

If you go back a few years, one of the biggest heroes (and heartthrobs) on TV was Joe Lando of "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman", but now he's playing for the other team and wielding dark magic as John Blackwell, Cassie's mysterious father, who will be making an appearance in Chance Harbor in Episode 1.15 of "The Secret Circle", entitled "Return."

As has become its weekly custom, The CW has released "producer previews" for tonight's episodes of "The Vampire Diaries" (#3.11, "Our Town") and "The Secret Circle (#1.11, "Fire/Ice"). The "TVD" preview is hosted by executive producer Julie Plec and co-executive producer Caroline Dries while the "TSC" preview finds executive producer Andrew Miller outlining some of his characters' desires.

We haven't gotten the official synopsis yet from The CW, but in the 12th episode of this season of "The Vampire Diaries", which airs on January 19th, we're going to be introduced Bonnie's mother, from whom our favorite witchy woman is currently estranged; and we can now share the first look at Abby Bennett, portrayed by Persia White ("Girlfriends").

It was way back on November 30th, 2009, when we first told you about the upcoming adaptation of Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl's Beautiful Creatures, and then things went downright silent. Until now, that is.

What's this? Another look at the upcoming witchery of The Wicked? Why not!?! We love witches. Especially the evil hot ones who enjoy maiming nubile young teens. They perform one hell of a service! Dig it!

Amazingly enough, evil witches of all things have never been hotter in pop culture. I can't remember the last time they were so prevalent. From TV shows to books to blockbuster movies, these old hags aren't going anywhere any time soon, that's for sure. Another flick heading into AFM featuring these big bads is The Wicked, and we've got the first still for you right here!

When it comes to witches, it's really hard to not picture the classic get-up used in The Wizard of Oz. The pointy hat ... the green skin ... it's just classic stuff, man. However, truly evil witches aren't played for camp value. In fact, they can be downright frightening.

Halloween falls on a Monday this year, which means the holiday episodes of most TV shows are airing the week before, including those on The CW, but that doesn't mean genre fans don't have more to look forward to, as evidenced by the just released synopses of "The Vampire Diaries" Episode 3.08, "Ordinary People", and "The Secret Circle" Episode 1.08, "Beneath", both airing on November 3rd. "Supernatural" Episode 7.07, "The Mentalists", which bows November 4th, isn't sounding too shabby either.

Since "The Secret Circle" series is premiering on The CW tonight (September 15th) right after "The Vampire Diaries", we have put together a neat package of our past coverage to help you decide whether or not to stay put for the extra hour. Who are we kidding? If you already watch "The Vampire Diaries", chances are you'll stay for "The Secret Circle", especially with Kevin Williamson (a new interview with him is included here as well) running this show.

Just when we thought The CW was done doling out the goods for its new series "The Secret Circle", debuting tomorrow night, September 15th, at 9:00 pm, they've provided us with a new featurette that gives us a glimpse at what the "circle" holds. Dig it!
