New York Comic Con (NYCC) organizers have announced that they will hold a special "One Year Out" Bowling Party on Thursday, October 8, 2009, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Bowlmor Lanes, 110 University Place, just South of Union Square in New York City.
Do you remember the first time you saw the infamous opening "library scene" in the original Ghostbusters? Remember how you felt when you watched that old woman ghost flip out while the pages of countless books flew everywhere?
What's this? What's this? The streets are lined with little creatures laughing! Everybody seems so happy! Have I possibly gone daffy? What is this? What's this? Get ready to take a peek at the new line of Nightmare Before Christmas collectibles!
With the new Friday the 13th film just around the corner, what could be a better time to unveil a new Jason figure than the NYCC, which was held just a week prior to the film's opening? To further sweeten the pot, we'll throw in a look at the new Leatherface figure, too. Whatcha waiting for? Look in here!
The show may be over, but that just gives us some time to start getting up the boatload of pictures we have for ya! Speaking of boatloads, Terminator fans will have lots to smile about as we have a look at three different sets of collectibles from three different companies!

You know what amazes me? Ladies, you want your men reasonably attractive, right? Then how come it's okay for your playthings to be ugly? Wait ... let me hold on to that for a second ... women's play things! Mmmm!
Here at Dread Central, we love us some monsters. In all shapes, sizes, and genres even! Though we never once have mentioned the phenomenon that is World of Warcraft on here, the game is home to lots of cool beasties, and all cool beasties deserve their own action figure damn it!
Craig Singer, director of two Horrorfest titles, Dark Ride (pictured) and Perkins’ 14, got to chatting with Fearnet during the New York Comic Con and discussed two new films he’s working on, one of which is a top-secret remake of a zombie film.

Nomad just dropped us word from the floor of the New York Comic Con that Diamond Select is working on a series of Ghostbusters Mini-Mates!
Details were not forthcoming, but I’m sure all four Busters will be represented, and hopefully a ghost or two as well. Maybe the Ecto-1 as an accessory? The mind reels with possibilities...
Word came down today that Joe Sena, lord and master of our online storefront of terror, Evilshop, will be participating in a panel at the upcoming New York Comic Con as part of EMCE Toys to discuss their revitalized line of Mego figures, including their badass Night of the Living Dead creations!
