When it comes to DVD releases, August 18th marks a week of threes. We get the third chapter in the Death Note series, the third season of "Dexter", a re-release of the first three Final Destination flicks, three Icons of Sci-Fi, and a trio of zombies.
Even though director Jennifer Lynch has been out of the game for a while now, putting her family and her health first, that doesn’t mean that the director has lost any of her focus. That’s why 2009 is shaping up to be such an important year for Lynch as she has two films ready to herald her return behind the camera — Surveillance and Hisss.

Quick update on director Jennifer Lynch's latest on-the-trail-of-a-psycho thriller, Surveillance. The film which finds Bill Pullman and Julia Ormond hot on the heels of a murderer will be available on HDNet Ultra VOD starting May 29, 2009 and in limited theatrical release on June 26, 2009.

The Hollywood Reporter let the world know today that Jennifer Lynch's follow up to Boxing Helena has been picked up by Magnolia Pictures. Surveillance is the story of an FBI agent trying to hunt down a serial murderer with the assistance of three possible victims.
The film, starring Bill Pullman and Julia Ormond, will hit Cannes on May 21st with a fall release in the works. Check out the trailer below.
Though it’s only got a German release to date, Jennifer Lynch’s follow-up to Boxing Helena (15 years later), Surveillance, finally has a trailer online, and the boys at AITH got a look at it today. Lynch, daughter of David, directed the film about an FBI agent who is hunting a serial killer with the help of three potential victims, all of whom have wildly different stories to tell.
