Just in case you forgot - although I cannot imagine that you would have - Atari's Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime is waiting for you to come along and cross streams with some friends. Wow. That sounded dirty. In any event check out the launch trailer.
From the Press Release
Time to get a bit more in-depth with the developers of Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime and find out what it takes for these rookies to take down Dumazu the Destroyer in New York City.
It's getting nearer, folks! By this time next week Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime will be available for download, and fans will be zapping spectres at will! Shall we whet your appetites further? How about some new screens? Yeah, that should do the trick!
Time to hear from the good folks who are bringing us the four-player mayhem known as Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime. What goes into getting out a good Ghostbusters sequel? The smart money is on not involving Bill Murray. Sorry. Couldn't resist.
Who ya gonna call? Your friends, that's who! And from there you will be indulging in some good old fashioned specter ass kicking on your favorite video game console when Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime starts its haunting!
While we all wait patiently for Bill Murray to finally read the damned script and sign off on Ghostbusters 3, things are moving along swimmingly for Atari and their upcoming downloadable title, Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime!
Bustin' makes me feel good! While we have no idea just what that means exactly, it's still fun to say. I mean, I guess if you're with your partner doing the naughty, bustin' would apply to ... oh, never mind. Anyway, a new trailer for Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime is here, and it shows off the game's many environments!
Synopsis
And it's in video game form! What? You thought there was actually something rock solid about the new movie to report?!? Are you mad? God forbid that ever happens.
Man, how times have changed! The good folks over at Atari just sent us over some pretty sweet screenshots of their revamping of the classic 1982 Atari 2600 game Haunted House. Thirtysomethings? Prepare to take a trip down memory lane!
From the Press Release:
Yeah, so I'm now thirty-something. That means every once in a while I'll catch a stray hair growing in a strange place and have officially started wondering how high I'll be wearing my pants when I'm eighty. My age also affords me the luxury of remembering the dawn of video games with Pong and of course the Atari 2600. I was always a horror fan, but back then we didn't have any real horror games with the exception of, say, Atari's Haunted House. But there was just one problem with the title ... I could NEVER figure out what to do.
Who you gonna call? The Ghostbusters are back in Ghostbusters: The
Video Game for the PSP, featuring the voices and in-game likenesses of Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, and Ernie Hudson in an original story penned by the writers of the original films, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis.
