WWE Studios announced today it has acquired all U.S. distribution rights to the Toronto International Film Festival cult hit The Day, Doug Aarniokoski's visceral action thriller. The film screened to sold-out crowds in the Midnight Madness section of the Festival.

The stellar I Sell the Dead (review here) is finally hitting DVD and Blu-ray on March 30th, and in honor of the occasion Dread Central will be running a series of interviews with several members of the cast and crew. First up is writer/director Glenn McQuaid.
I haven’t seen I Sell the Dead yet, and I’m guessing I’m in the same boat as a lot of people. If you check out Andrew's review, however, I bet your curiosity will be piqued. And that’s what writer/director Glenn McQuaid is banking on because, as we've reported previously, he’s already planning a sequel!

Dominic Monaghan and Freddy Rodriguez have signed on to star in a new horror thriller that tells of a future just a little too close to reality right now, Fortuna. THR reports this morning that the film, written and directed by Barthelemy Grossman, (13 m2) begins its six-week shoot in Nova Scotia on November 10th.
The freaks over at Fangoria managed to get the first look at the full trailer for Glenn McQuaid’s I Sell the Dead, the upcoming period graverobbing/zombie film coming our way from Glass Eye Pix. Ron Perlman, Dominic Monaghan, Angus Scrimm and Larrry Fessenden all star in it, and man does it ever look cool; dig it right here!
We’ve only made mention of it in passing once ( right here), but the new horror/comedy I Sell the Dead is definitely a film we’ll be keeping our eyes on more in the future.
With the second animated movie set to premiere this weekend on The Cartoon Network, now is as good a time as any to sit down and chat with Hellboy himself, Ron Perlman. The LA Times did just that and found out that his next turn as Big Red will be on us before he likely knows it.
