For Marcus Nispel's latest project, Conan the Barbarian, the director decided to approach this reimagining a bit differently: Rather than remaking John Milius' iconic 1982 movie that introduced the world to a then-up-and-coming Arnold Schwarzenegger, Nispel opted to rely more on the 1932 Conan short story series by Robert E. Howard.

Today we had the opportunity to participate in some press functions for the upcoming Season of the Witch, which included interviews with actors Ron Perlman and Robert Sheehan along with producer Charles Roven.
To this very day every time I think of Armand Assante, the only thing that crosses my mind is his role in Judge Dredd, in which he played Sylvester Stallone's twin of sorts. What can I say? As bad as it was, it made an impression.

The stellar I Sell the Dead (review here) is finally hitting DVD and Blu-ray on March 30th, and in honor of the occasion Dread Central will be running a series of interviews with several members of the cast and crew. First up is writer/director Glenn McQuaid.
DVD and Blu-ray feature producer Charles de Lauzirika is ready to leave the realm of supplemental material behind and instead hop directly into the director's chair for the upcoming film Crave, which has already attracted a couple of solid names including Hellboy himself.
Sony Pictures is releasing Thomas Jane's Dark Country onto DVD on October 6th, and to help build the anticipation, they've released four new clips from the suspenseful horror thriller. Jane makes his directorial debut on the film and co-stars with Lauren German (Hostel: Part II) and Ron Perlman.
Ever look at the art on a DVD and think to yourself, "Come on! I know they can do better than this!"? Yep, generic art can be a real downer, especially when it contain floating heads, etc. Sadly, the DVD for Thomas Jane's directorial debut Dark Country, which hits home video on October 6th, 2009, has been hit with generic art, but that doesn't mean there isn't anything else out there.
