A few months ago we broke the news that director Danny Boyle was planning to return to the 28 Days Later franchise that he created to direct the third entry. While some disputed this, including a producer, turns out we were spot on.

Top 10: Outbreak Movies

With The Crazies (review here) remake bursting down our door, I thought it would be a good opportunity for Dread Central to look back at some of the most memorable virus/outbreak movies of the genre’s past. It’s a slippery slope when determining what constitutes a viral plague versus a standard zombie apocalypse, but I boiled my criteria down to one basic rule: The carnage must be driven by an infection, and re-animated corpses crawling out of the dirt need not apply.

More 28 Days Later Comics on the Way!

Fox Atomic Comics and BOOM! Studios announced today at the Emerald City Comicon in Seattle, Washington, that July will see 28 Days Later return to comic books and graphic novels.

SDCC 08: Another 28 Days?

Our man Tristan has been stuck in the dreaded Hall H all day long, sitting through panel after panel after panel, afraid to leave for fear of not being able to get back in. Hopefully someone buys him many beers tonight. But perhaps all that waiting has paid off?
