Though no one over here has heard much about him, Wes Craven is certainly a fan of Last House on the Left remake helmer Dennis Iliadis. While attending the film’s premiere the other night, the Bloody Disgusting boys got wind of a new project the duo are ramping up, a remake of the Spanish film Before the Fall.

It’s in Catalan so I have no idea what’s going on, but since it’s a news broadcast about the filming of REC 2 from back in November, I imagine it’s the usual light fluff that doesn’t really tell you a helluva lot about what the film’s about.

The guys currently hunkering down and rationing water over at Quiet Earth took time out of their busy schedules of watching the skies for aliens to throw out the poster and official synopsis for The Homecoming, the directorial debut of The Orphanage screenwriter Sergio G. Sanchez.

I’ll admit I hadn't heard of the Spanish film King of the Hill (El Rey de la Montana) until the trailer for it popped onto Twitch Film seemingly from nowhere, but from the sounds of it this is one to keep our eyes on.

Dark Sky Films has picked up Isidro Ortiz’s Shiver, about an adolescent whose relocation to an isolated village with his mother is tainted when he becomes the main suspect in a series of shocking events.

This morning the Spanish site Aullidos got a slew of imagery from Jose Luis Aleman’s La Herencia de Valdemar (The Valdemar Inheritance). Never heard of it? Neither had we until today!
