Sundance
A few months ago we were sent information about a viral video that had surfaced which may or may not have been real. Almost immediately all sorts of odd reports began surfacing. Apparently a YouTube video appeared earlier this year which showed a girl overdosing while her friends stood around and jeered her. Now the word is that before this video surfaced, an extortion plot was hatched to get some scratch out of the people involved in the scene (which resulted in the girl's death).
No one would pony up the dough so parts of the 393 minutes of footage began leaking online... enter Quentin Tarantino.
Eli Roth was an attendee of Mexico's Morelia Film Festival, where he updated the media on all his latest projects, including one that's been conspicuously light on the details, Cotton, which Roth is producing only along with Strike Entertainment.

This has been writer/director Paul Solet’s mantra for the last three and a half years as he’s put almost his entire life into his debut film Grace, which celebrated its premiere during the Sundance Film Festival on January 16th, 2009.
In a really interesting bit of news coming out of Sundance, CHUD's Devin Feraci reports that comedian Bill Hader just recently sat down with "SNL" writer Simon Rich to develop a slasher film that happens to be for Judd Apatow of all people.
