Get Quarantined at Comic Con!
Ever wanted to go to the San Diego Comic Con? It's pretty bad ass, but not everyone can afford to head out there each year. Luckily, Sony Pictures is offering two winners a chance at just that via their Quarantined Sweepstakes! Check out the widget below for more details.

Carpenter Cornered in Quarantine
The American remake of REC, known as Quarantine, could go a long way if it stays as creepy as the original. It has a strong leading lady, and director John Erick Dowdle knows what he's doing when it comes to cinema vérité. You'll know what I am talking about whenever The Poughkeepsie Tapes is released.

Viral Quarantine
Ah, viral marketing, the bane of Internet journalists’ existences. Some of this stuff is so damn obscure; it’s hard to follow the connection to the actual film it’s supposed to relate to (see anything regarding Cloverfield for examples).

Quarantine Gets Viral
October 17th may seem like a long time away, but at least John Dowdle's remake of REC (review), titled Quarantine is revving its engine with some viral marketing (“Diary and Quarantine Release Dates!” – November 2007).
YouTube video blogger named Eric has released an interesting video shot outside a building that has been roped off. Check it out below.

First Shutter & Quarantine Stills
Seriously now, why is it that whenever studios release pics from their horror titles that they’re always the most boring, tell-you-nothing images they can find? I mean, if you have a movie with some ghosts and gore, at least show them off!

You may recall last week it was revealed that Jeff Buhler, who found his way into our genre by penning the script for Midnight Meat Train currently being directed by Ryuhei Kitamura, is moving up the Hollywood ladder rather rapidly by jumping right into directing.
