Man, if feels as if we've been talking about the indie horror flick The Fields like forever. It's been a couple of years at least, that's for sure. In any event, the little flick has scored itself some distro. Read on for the skinny!

It's been a while since last we spoke about The Fields, but it's October! Everyone who's got a pulse has been submitting news to us to help you all get in the Halloween spirit so maybe this latest teaser trailer will do just that for you!

It's been a while since we've had any sort of update on the Tara Reid/Cloris Leachman (now there's a dream team if we ever saw one) flick The Fields, but today the filmmakers announced the launch of a Street Team utilizing the film’s network of loyal Facebook fans to promote the film and raise awareness worldwide.

More sales are crept out of AFM today, this time for Land of Canaan, a psychological thriller/horror flick based on a true story of murder and hauntings in the Nevada town of Goldfield.

Driving down a winding road in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania, the car rounds a turn, climbing higher into the mountains. Perched on the side of a steep hill is an old farmhouse with peeling gray paint and gaping windows, surrounded by fields of dry and rustling corn. The front lawn slopes dangerously down and then sprawls out into an honest-to-god pumpkin patch. This is where the cast and crew for upcoming indie thriller The Fields are shooting today.

You've got to admire the filmmaking team behind The Fields for one thing: casting Tara Reid in their movie and expecting us to take it seriously. Okay, low blow and a cheap shot at the low budget horror production, but I couldn't resist. Today they've uploaded some pics straight from production and we've got them for you!

Tara Reid keeps making movies, and doomsday is supposedly just on the horizon. Coincidence? We really need to hire some Mayans here at Dread Central to get to the bottom of all this crap.

The teaser art for The Land of Canaan popped up today on the official Land of Canaan MySpace page and it's got us pretty interested if only for the cast!

Thanks to our loyal reader Joey, who probably ought to go to work for the CIA he's so good at digging up clues, we got some more details on the previously "untitled horror pic" Variety reported that David Mazzoni and Tom Mattera are helming and Tara Reid will be starring in. Apparently it's called The Fields.

We’ve been keeping info on the new Tara Reid opus Vipers close to our chests since it was first announced, but we’ve done it for your own good. We know how insane the hype can be for a new horror movie with Reid so we’ve basically been trying to avoid mass hysteria.

UPDATE: A astute reader named Joey found the DVD artwork for Vipers over at HK Flix and passed it along to yours truly. I can also now confirm that DVD is being released by Wellspring/Genius Entertainment.
