The Syfy channel and director McG. For whatever reason those things sound so right together. Like they were meant to be. And now finally they are almost together.
Man, the dead sure can be chatty. The last time we checked in with the major motion picture adaptation of Hasbro's Ouija, the board spelled out S-H-I-T-C-A-N-N-E-D. Now, however, the planchette is moving once again.
Hey, remember that Ouija movie we've been talking about for ... oh, I don't know ... forever now? Well the messages from the other side are coming to a close. Blow out your candles and pull up the shades.
While we're still of the mindset that nothing made by Parker Brothers can actually contact the dead on the other side, we're still really interested in seeing just where the hell a movie based upon a board game is going to go.
Since the powers-that-be are still using the description of "supernatural" in regard to the upcoming McG-directed Ouija, based on the popular board game, we're going to keep covering it. The latest news is that Evan Spiliotopoulos is set to rewrite the supernatural action-adventure film for Universal Pictures and Platinum Dunes.
After reading the reviews for Terminator: Salvation, director McG learned a lot about horror in print. In fact, we're sure that his spine is tingling to this very day. Still, you can't just grab your ball and go home, and the man has some new stuff cooking.
And the proposed Ouija film finally has its director. And you know what? It kind of makes sense. Follow along with me for a moment if you will.
Universal executives will have some food for thought over the holiday break as they try and decide just who should be at the helm of their upcoming movie which focuses on the Hasbro board game Ouija, which is said to let you communicate with the other side.
The buddy comedy has long been a staple of broadcast TV entertainment. Over the years there have been many noteworthy pairing such as "The Odd Couple", "Friends", and "Seinfeld". Never has there been a coupling such as this though ... get ready to get your digital recorders set for "Zombies vs. Vampires".
Unless you've been living under a rock, you should be well aware that this Thursday marks the 100th episode of Supernatural, and the fine folks at The CW have released a video of the celebration of that fact. Of course you're all welcome to join the party!
