Why is it so damn hard to turn a great video game into an excellent movie? So many excellent franchises have been adapted for the screen in what can consistently be labeled as lackluster efforts.

Recently the fine people over at G4 released a video for a brand new gaming experience they put together with writer/director Drew Daywalt and creature effects master Jeff Farley to create the scariest possible environment in which to play Dead Space 2 in honor of the game’s recent debut.

Just because Dead Space 2 hit video store shelves last week, don't think for a second that means the end of the cool extras EA Games has been pumping out in its honor. On tap for today we have the "Smoke and Mirrors" developer diary, which focuses on the User Interface and Visual Effects with behind-the-scenes footage and interviews from the team! Game Synopsis:

We're guessing that when you see the following moms frowning while watching survival horror games you'll be grinning too.

December 21st saw the necromorph outbreak begin on Xbox and PS3 as the long awaited Dead Space 2 (EA and Visceral Games) single player demo went, if you'll pardon the pun, "live". How is it? WELL ... It's got its REALLY good points and some kinda low points.

With the Dead Space 2 demo hitting the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on Tuesday, December 21st, EA Games debuted a new trailer for the game on G4’s "Attack of the Show" just a short while ago, and of course we have it for you right here!
