We rarely cover celebrity passings outside of the horror genre, but if you’re at all familiar with the WWF / WWE character of Paul Bearer then you know that his name on this website fits like a glove. It’s with a heavy heart that we report that this sports entertainment legend is no longer with us.
The WWE is reporting that William Moody, aka Paul Bearer has passed on at the all too young age of 58. Moody made his WWE debut in 1991 as the manager of The Undertaker and went on to become a memorable part of WWE over the course of the next 20 years. During his career, which began at Florida’s World Class Championship Wrestling as the evil manager Percy Pringle III, Moody went on to also manage other WWE superstars the likes of Kane, Rick Rude, Vader and Mankind.
Though the exact circumstances around his death have yet to be revealed it is known the Moody suffered from a myriad of health problems over the last decade or so including morbid obesity.
We here at Dread Central would like to take this time to offer Moody’s many friends, family, and constituents our deepest of condolences. Rest in peace, William. There will never be another like you.
