JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM’S Tyrannosaurus Rex Stomps On Kings Cross Station

In what has got to be one of the craziest movie publicity stunts to date, Universal Pictures have erected a life-sized Tyrannosaurus rex statue at London King’s Cross railway station to promote the release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. And yes, as you can see in the images below, the statue really is life-sized, so take care not to get eaten if you happen to commute through Kings Cross. The lava forming around the beast’s feet is also a nice touch.

In addition to the T. rex, a much smaller statue of the Velociraptor known as Blue was also erected in the station, but keep in mind that although she’s small, she’s no less deadly than her much larger counterpart. Just ask Vic Hoskins as soon as his head grows back.

According to the Jurassic World Facebook page, the dinosaurs will stay up for two weeks before becoming extinct again, so you don’t have a whole lot of time to see them in the flesh, so to speak. Although if it were up to us, they would never be taken down, because Kings Cross always needed more dinosaurs.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was directed by J. A. Bayona and produced by Steven Spielberg, and stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rafe Spall, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, and James Cromwell. It opens in the UK on June 6, and in the US on June 22. And keep in mind that 2015’s Jurassic World grossed an incredible $1.6 billion at the box office, so we can also expect Fallen Kingdom to also be a monster hit (no pun intended).
