This past Friday YouTube gave a presentation to the Television Critics Association and announced several exciting new original series and films coming soon to YouTube Red. Below you’ll find the horror highlights to keep an eye out for.
THE THINNING
The Thinning takes place in a dying world where population control is dictated by an aptitude test in high school. When two students Blake (Logan Paul) and Laina (Peyton List) discover the test is all smoke and mirrors hiding a larger conspiracy, they must go against the system to expose it and take it down. Release date: Fall 2016
LAZER TEAM 2
The government sends the Lazer Team into uncharted territory as they travel to the farthest reaches of space to battle Earth’s alien attackers in the feature-length sci-fi-comedy sequel Lazer Team 2, coming to YouTube Red next year. Release date: Late 2017
“FIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: EXPERIMENT 88”
In the intense and terrifying series “Fight of the Living Dead: Experiment 88, 10 YouTube stars are thrown into a simulated zombie apocalypse and forced to fight their way through an abandoned hospital. Pushed to their mental and physical breaking points, they’ll have to work together… or they’ll die together. No phones, no internet, no escape. Who will survive? Release date: August 17, 2016
