Video: Ed Warren Telling the Real Story of ANNABELLE is Scarier Than Any Movie

The Official Ed and Lorraine Warren Channel on YouTube re-released an interview Ed and Lorraine gave in 2000 with Tony Spera on an episode of Seekers of the Supernatural. The highlight (beginning at around 16:20) is Ed discussing the infamous Annabelle case–details of which are scarier than anything we’ve seen in James Wan’s Conjuring Universe.
While descriptions of the Raggedy Ann doll moving her hands and standing up on flimsy legs might seem tame, the objective authenticity of Ed Warren makes these and other details truly unnerving. Whether you believe in the supernatural or not, Ed’s sincerity is hard to shake. Then there’s the story of a college student who mocked Annabelle at the Warrens’ occult museum. The Conjuring franchise spawned three movies about the diminutive devil-doll. Annabelle, released in 2014, was followed by the prequel Annabelle: Creation in 2017 and Annabelle Comes Home in 2019. Check out the trailer and synopsis for the first installment below.
Synopsis:
John Form (Ward Horton) thinks he’s found the perfect gift for his expectant wife, Mia (Annabelle Wallis) : a vintage doll in a beautiful white dress. However, the couple’s delight doesn’t last long: One terrible night, devil worshippers invade their home and launch a violent attack against the couple. When the cultists try to summon a demon, they smear a bloody rune on the nursery wall and drip blood on Mia’s doll, thereby turning the former object of beauty into a conduit for ultimate evil.
Annabelle was directed by John R. Leonetti from a screenplay penned by Gary Dauberman.
