The Soska Twins Just Landed First-Look Rights With David Cronenberg’s Producer

In an interesting deal, the Soska Twins – the duo behind the 2012 film American Mary and Dead Hooker in a Trunk – have inked a first-look deal with Martin Katz’s Prospero Pictures, the producer of David Cronenberg’s films, per THR. This means that Jen and Sylvia Soska’s Twisted Twins Productions will give the exclusive first right at film and TV properties that they develop to Katz’s production house.
Katz released a statement where he said, “The Soska sisters have set a new standard for female-driven genre filmmaking and we are so excited to be in business with them for the long-haul.”
The Twins added, “Marty and Karen [Wookey] just viscerally understand the kind of elevated genre we’ve been making all our lives. We want to make all our movies with them.”
The Soska’s are currently preparing to take their David Cronenberg remake of Rabid on the festival circuit.
