Reporter Captures Apparition in Haunted Plantation in The Gasp Menagerie

Anyone familiar with paranormal investigations in the US has heard of the infamous Myrtles plantation in St. Francisville, Louisiana.  The subject of many documentaries and even a few fictional films, the Myrtles is said to be one of the most haunted properties in the nation.

WGNO reporter Vanessa Bolano was shooting a story at the spooky mansion back in 2012 and captured some remarkable footage.

What appears to be a white mist rises from the bed she is shooting next to and floats out of the top of the frame.  The camera isn’t moving, there don’t appear to be any light sources shifting about, and it doesn’t appear to be an insect or other out of focus object moving between Bolano and the camera.

Did the news camera capture evidence of one of the many ghosts said to haunt the Myrtles?  Is there another explanation for the apparition?

Have a weird story? Potential evidence of the supernatural, or at least something hard to explain? Spot any creepy critters out there roaming the wilds? LET ME KNOW! I’d love to talk about it and possibly write it up right here in The Gasp Menagerie. You’ll get appropriate credit, of course, and everyone else will get fresh creepy (as opposed to fresh Creepy, which, trust me… nobody wants that) to enjoy. As always, I can be found at mrdark@dreadcentral.com.

Now get out there, find some weird, and let’s get this party started.
