Know what would rule? If The Orphan Master was actually a sequel to Orphan and featured a mad scientist who’s hellbent on achieving world domination by deploying an army of Communist little folk disguised as children who sound like Dracula into the adoption world. We need to find a writer like yesterday!
While what we’re talking about here isn’t anywhere near as cool as that would be, it could end up kicking some ass of its own.
Deadline is reporting that producers Paul Mazur and Mitchell Kaplan have optioned film rights to Jean Zimmerman’s The Orphan Master. The historical serial-killer thriller, set in the New Amsterdam of 1633, will be published by Viking on June 19th.
