Online Premiere of Staci Layne Wilson's The Night Plays Tricks Short Film; Poster Art UnveiledThe day before the day before Christmas is winding down, and Santa’s helpers just dropped off a special present for us to share with our Dread Central readers: the online premiere of Staci Layne Wilson’s second short film, The Night Plays Tricks, accompanied by the first look at its poster art.

The Night Plays Tricks is a haunting romantic thriller about a man lost in time between the apparitions of women representing his past and his future.

Synopsis:
Influenced by the lyrics of Bob Dylan’s 1966 song “Visions of Johanna”, the surreal paintings of Rene Magritte, and the ever-elusive concept of living in the now, The Night Plays Tricks is both eerie and enchanting.

Written and directed by Staci Layne Wilson, The Night Plays Tricks stars Oraniz Nivor, Emma Julia Jacobs, Diane Ayala Goldner, and Michael Shane Armes. Color cinematography is by Justin Cruse, and black and white cinematography is by Elric Kane. Music is by Darren Smith with editing by Staci Layne Wilson and Elric Kane; editor assistant is Brian Feeney.

Our thanks to Staci for giving us this sneak peek at the project to share with you guys, and for more info be sure to visit the Excessive Nuance Productions website (it’s just a splash page now, but check back for more soon).
