Lock Up Your Fears in The Horror Vault 3

In the mood to watch something new but don’t have a lot of time to spend in one sitting? Then check out the third and final installment of The Horror Vault Trilogy, which is out on DVD now and contains five separate tales of terror and depravity.
Back in May of 2008 Melissa reviewed the first installment of The Horror Vault (review here), and her advice to the filmmakers was to concentrate on quality over quantity and cut back on the number of films included (Volume 1 had nine films in all). It seems they took her advice as Volumes 2 and 3 both contain five each. Below is the list of what’s included in Volume 3:
Synopsis:
Starting off, it’s “A Christmas Haunting” directed by Kim Sønderholm and starring Kim Sønderholm, Russ Diapper, Tanja Bønke, Mette Løvendahl and celebrity model Katrine Poulsen. There are also some brief cameos by well known indie stars such as April Monique Burril, Monique Dupree, Eileen Daly, Brinke Stevens and Eleanor James. Also horror diva Dai Green and Playboy model Nikki Magnusson make a brief appearance as well as top Swedish model Veronica Thorsell.
Then follows “Zombie Office” by English filmmaker Johan A Krueger, which is a black, twisted and comedicly nihilistic story about…well, the title pretty much says it all.
“Undone” by David C. Hayes and John Scott Mills follows about a man kidnapping another man wanting revenge for his crimes. “Undone” stars David C. Hayes, Eleni C. Krimitsos, Kevin Moyers and many more.
Up next is “Unchangeable” by Canadian filmmaker James Barclay about a man going slowly insane after the tragic death of his girlfriend. “Unchangeable” lives in a very David Lynch-esqe universe and will leave you thinking about it after it’s over. “Unchangeable” stars James Barclay, Lene Storgaard, Kim Sønderholm, Henrik Vestergaard Nielsen, Anders Brink Madsen and Leslie Hinge.
Finally, where “Unchangeable” leaves us in an insane universe, “The Psychomanteum” takes us even further. Megon Kirkpatrick stars as the teenager who falls deeper and deeper into insanity, accompanied by actors such as Dave Staley, Colleen O’Donnell and Helen Sanger Pierce as her mother.
