Adam Wingard to Drink From The Devil’s Punchbowl

Since his films Pop Skull and A Horrible Way to Die (coming soon from Anchor Bay) took off, filmmaker Adam Wingard has been a pretty busy guy. Even though he’s now in post on his latest film, You’re Next!, he’s already got another horror flick lined up after that!

Bloody Disgusting reports that Wingard (pictured right) is now attached to The Devil’s Punchbowl, which is slated for production later this year.

Written by newcomers The Schenker Brothers (Alex and Max), The Devil’s Punchbowl follows Dylan Massey and his expecting wife, Savanna, who after inheriting a pristine Montana ranch must fight to survive a century old blood feud raging on their land that has become known as the Devil’s Punchbowl.

“I was instantly attracted to the authentic 70’s style grittiness and the Terrence Malick/Sam Peckinpah feel of the script. It’s got this sweeping scope that takes you in, lifting you up as it explores the beauty and mystery of nature, and then tears it all apart with sheer brutality and violence,” said Wingard from the set of You’re Next!

Eric Watson (Pi, Requiem for a Dream), Houston Hill, The Schenker Brothers, and Jeremy Platt (Rob Zombie’s The Lords of Salem) will be producing.
