Set to play at the 41st Hong Kong International Film Festival on April 25, the very bloody trailer for Taiwanese horror movie Mon Mon Mon Monsters shows how teenagers can be absolute assholes at times. I can relate, because high school was one of the worst times of my life, and I sure as shit couldn’t wait to leave.

In the film, some unsuspecting kids accidentally unleash a bloodthirsty monster in their school after unlocking a safe that they think contains gold. After they set it loose, we can finally expect to witness some repentance, as bullies will be on the menu.

Director Giddens Ko is an acclaimed novelist over in Taiwan and also scripted last year’s stalker film The Tenants Downstairs. Mon Mon Mon Monsters will be his second directional effort after the 2011 romantic comedy You Are the Apple of My Eye.
